Overview

The Everest Three Passes Trek is one of the most exciting and rewarding trekking adventures in Nepal. It is the perfect choice for experienced trekkers who want to explore the Everest region beyond the classic Everest Base Camp trail. This incredible journey takes you across three spectacular high mountain passes—Kongma La Pass (5,535m), Cho La Pass (5,420m), and Renjo La Pass (5,360m)—while also visiting the world-famous Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and Kala Patthar (5,545m). The trek combines breathtaking Himalayan scenery, Sherpa culture, ancient monasteries, glacial lakes, and unforgettable mountain landscapes into one extraordinary adventure.

Tamang Eco Treks & Expedition proudly offers a carefully designed Everest Three Passes Trek package that provides the perfect balance of adventure, safety, and cultural exploration. Our experienced local guides, well-planned itinerary, and personalized service ensure that every trekker enjoys a safe, comfortable, and memorable journey through the heart of the Khumbu region. Whether you are an experienced hiker looking for your next challenge or a passionate mountain lover seeking the ultimate Everest experience, our professional team is committed to making your adventure truly unforgettable.

The journey begins with a scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu (or Ramechhap during the peak trekking seasons) to Lukla, home to one of the world’s most famous mountain airports. From Lukla, the trail passes through beautiful Sherpa villages, dense rhododendron forests, suspension bridges decorated with colorful prayer flags, and ancient Buddhist monasteries. Every day brings new landscapes and closer views of the magnificent Himalayan peaks.

Unlike the standard Everest Base Camp Trek, the Everest Three Passes Trek explores remote valleys and less-traveled routes. Crossing Kongma La, Cho La, and Renjo La provides incredible panoramic views of glaciers, turquoise alpine lakes, snow-covered mountains, and dramatic high-altitude landscapes. These challenging mountain passes make the trek one of the most adventurous and rewarding experiences in the Himalayas.

The trek also introduces you to the rich culture of the Sherpa people, who are famous worldwide for their mountaineering skills, warm hospitality, and deep Buddhist traditions. Along the route, you will visit iconic villages such as Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gokyo, and Thame. Each village has its own unique character, offering opportunities to explore local monasteries, interact with friendly residents, and learn about Himalayan life.

Another highlight of this trek is the stunning Gokyo Valley, home to a series of beautiful turquoise glacial lakes. A hike to Gokyo Ri (5,357m) rewards trekkers with one of the finest panoramic viewpoints in Nepal. From the summit, you can enjoy breathtaking views of Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Lhotse, and countless surrounding peaks.

At Tamang Eco Treks & Expedition, your safety and satisfaction are our highest priorities. Our licensed trekking guides have extensive experience leading high-altitude treks in the Everest region and are trained to monitor your health throughout the journey. We provide detailed pre-trek briefings, quality logistics, and continuous support to ensure a safe and enjoyable adventure.

If you are looking for the ultimate trekking experience in Nepal, the Everest Three Passes Trek is the perfect adventure.
