The trail gradually climbs through forests and rocky river valleys before entering the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area. Enjoy breathtaking landscapes, suspension bridges, and peaceful mountain trails.

Today’s route climbs steadily through bamboo forests, waterfalls, and narrow valleys while offering increasingly impressive mountain scenery. The peaceful environment makes for an enjoyable trekking day.

Continue trekking through beautiful rhododendron forests and traditional Tibetan settlements before reaching the peaceful village of Gyabla. Along the way, enjoy magnificent views of the surrounding Himalayan landscapes.

After breakfast, continue through beautiful pine and rhododendron forests while following the Ghunsa Khola. Pass waterfalls, yak grazing pastures, and traditional Tibetan settlements before arriving at the picturesque village of Ghunsa. Visit the local monastery and experience the unique culture of the Sherpa community.

Spend the day acclimatizing to the higher altitude. Explore the village, visit the monastery, or take a short hike to nearby viewpoints for spectacular mountain scenery. Proper acclimatization is essential before continuing toward the base camp.

Follow the Ghunsa Khola through rugged alpine landscapes, glacial valleys, and rocky trails. Enjoy magnificent views of Jannu (Kumbhakarna), surrounding glaciers, and towering snow-covered peaks before arriving at Kambachen.

Today is one of the biggest highlights of the trek. After spending time enjoying the spectacular scenery, return to Lhonak for an overnight stay.
