The Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek is one of Nepal’s most spectacular and least-explored trekking adventures, offering an unforgettable journey around the world’s third-highest mountain, Mount Kanchenjunga (8,586 m). This incredible circuit combines both the North Base Camp (Pangpema) and the South Base Camp (Oktang) into one complete Himalayan expedition. The trek takes you through untouched wilderness, dense forests, glacial valleys, remote mountain villages, high mountain passes, and breathtaking alpine landscapes while providing an authentic cultural experience in one of Nepal’s most isolated regions.
Beginning with a scenic flight to Bhadrapur and a beautiful drive to Taplejung, the journey passes through traditional Rai, Limbu, Sherpa, and Tibetan settlements where ancient customs and lifestyles remain unchanged. Along the trail, you’ll walk through rhododendron forests, bamboo groves, yak pastures, rivers, waterfalls, suspension bridges, and pristine glaciers while enjoying panoramic views of Kanchenjunga, Jannu (Kumbhakarna), Kabru, Rathong, Yalung Kang, Tent Peak, and many other Himalayan giants.

This circuit offers a perfect combination of adventure, natural beauty, wildlife, and Tibetan Buddhist culture. The Kanchenjunga Conservation Area is rich in biodiversity and is home to rare wildlife, including the red panda, Himalayan black bear, musk deer, blue sheep, and even the elusive snow leopard.
