The route follows the Trishuli River, passing beautiful hills, terraced farms, waterfalls, and traditional villages. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains before arriving in Syabrubesi. Spend the evening relaxing and preparing for the cultural adventure ahead.
After breakfast, begin your trek with a steady uphill climb through forests and traditional settlements. As you ascend, enjoy spectacular views of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, and the surrounding hills. Upon reaching Gatlang, explore one of the largest Tamang villages in the region, known for its traditional stone houses, colorful prayer flags, and rich cultural heri
Today’s trail passes through beautiful forests, terraced fields, and small villages before descending to the sacred Parvati Kunda Lake. Continue through peaceful landscapes until reaching Tatopani, famous for its natural hot springs. Relax in the warm mineral-rich water while enjoying the tranquil mountain surroundings after a rewarding day of trekking.
After breakfast, climb gradually through alpine forests and mountain trails toward Nagthali, one of the best viewpoints on the trek. Enjoy panoramic views of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Tibetan mountain ranges, and surrounding peaks before descending to the traditional Tamang village of Thuman. The village is well known for its cultural performances, traditional architecture, and warm hospitality.
The trail follows peaceful ridges and forest paths before arriving at Briddim, a charming Tamang village located near the Tibetan border. After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu along the scenic Trishuli River. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. You may explore local markets, visit cultural landmarks, or simply relax after completing the trek.
Spend the day exploring the vibrant city of Kathmandu, visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sites, shopping for souvenirs, or relaxing at your hotel. In the evening, Tamang Eco Treks hosts a farewell dinner to celebrate your successful cultural trekking adventure.

Here is a list of what you might want to pack for the hike. Please take this as a starting point. You’ll need layers of warmer clothing during the winter. We provide a 75 liter duffel bag for you to use for the trek. It will be given to you during your pre-trip meeting in Kathmandu. The duffle bag is yours to keep. Also, you can rent sleeping bag and down jacket with us at the additional fee of USD 35 for each once you are in Kathmandu.
The Tamang Heritage Trail Trek is an easy to moderate trek, making it suitable for beginners, families, and trekkers with a reasonable level of fitness.
